Fremont Houses for Sale
Fremont Living
Fremont was formed in 1954 when eight small towns (Alvarado, Centerville, Decoto, Irvington, Mission San Jose, Newark, Niles, and Warm Springs) were incorporated and chose the name Fremont over Mission Valley. Fremont boasts over 1,200 high-tech and biotech firms within its eight different business districts. There are 42 million square feet of office, R&D, manufacturing, and warehouse building space in Fremont’s three high-tech and biotech business centers: Ardenwwod, Baylands, and Warm Springs. From the start, it has been the goal of city leaders to cultivate a business-friendly environment that celebrates economic development.

In November 2006, the Oakland Athletics Major League Baseball franchise announced a deal with Cisco Systems Inc. to purchase property in Fremont as a potential site for a new baseball stadium and corresponding ballpark village with dining and other attractions.

Fremont is a multi-cultural community that has really taken a proactive response to being environmentally conscious, including programs for children, pollution prevention and “green” building.
